High-performance 3D milling robot with no shape limits

RM-RoboCut3D Stone offers high milling performance on stone and flexibility of movement superior to any machine tool.

The 6 interpolated axes of the sculpting robot combined with the seventh interpolated and continuous axis of the rotating table, guarantee maximum freedom of movement of the cutter, to undercut and reach niches of statues and objects with an articulated design.

The RM-RoboCut3D Stone robotic cells are equipped with “high accuracy” robotic arms which allow to obtain the best movement precision.

High power electrospindles for stone milling

RM-RoboCut3D Stone is equipped with electrospindles designed for the processing of: stone, marble and granite; with powers from 12 kW to 18 kW and maximum rotation 12,000 RPM. The torque curves delivered generate maximum power at low revs, ensuring excellent roughing capacity and exploit the higher revs for finishing processes.

A standard version with direct flange connection and a version with automatic tool change with phonic wheel, minicoder and tool holder cones ISO 50 are available. Both restraint systems allow the main milling tools to be housed and guarantee perfect tool balance, minimizing vibrations during processing.

The water cooling system optimizes heat dissipation through a double tool cooling system. One with internal passage to the spindle shaft for direct refrigeration and one with four nozzles for indirect refrigeration.

Worktop and robot sizes

The worktop consists of a 1200 x 1200 mm welded and extended steel table which can be fastening or rotating (optional). The table can carry up to 40 tons of weight and offers steel “T” slots for fixing the workpieces using clamps and brackets.

RM-RoboCut3D Stone is available in three sizes:

  • RM-RoboCut3D Stone 120 kg: maximum reach 2496 mm
  • RM-RoboCut3D Stone 210 kg: maximum reach 3095 mm
  • RM-RoboCut3D Stone 300 kg: maximum reach 2700 mm

How to create the project for your sculptures

Focus on your creativity and design your project with CAD, RM-RoboCut3D Stone will giving shape to your ideas. Even if you are not an expert in three-dimensional drawing, you can make a prototype in small format and import the project into your PC with a 3D scanner.

Aurora is a structured light 3D scanner, easy to use and versatile. It allows the selection of the scan parameters and to create a three-dimensional image of the desired object in a few seconds.

Fast and reliable, it also complements 3D printers and numerical control machines. Digitize small, medium and large components at an affordable price.

Aurora scanner is available in 2 versions: Aurora NEO (entry-level version) and Aurora (professional version).

XMC 5 Robot: HMI interface for SmartPad

XMC 5 Robot is the operator interface for SmartPad touchscreen simple and intuitive, which allows you to have under control all the commands necessary to pilot RM-RoboCut3D Stone. Through the software interface it is possible to: import the machinings, analyze the project from the 2D/ 3D preview and start the machining. The integrated Analytics 4.0 plugin manages and processes all productivity and processing status data in real time.

CAM software: SprutCAM Robot

A single software environment to create the tool paths of RM-RoboCut3D Stone.

SprutCAM Robot allows you to import the main 3D machining files (.step, .stl, .obj, .IGES …) and create toolpath strategies in a simple way, always having the graphic simulation of the robot movements under control to avoid collisions.

SprutCAM Robot can manage all 7 interpolated axes of RM-RoboCut3D Stone, to create tool path strategies that optimize the processing times to the maximum.

4.0 Analytics: data analysis software

4.0 Analytics is the data analysis software for the Ronchini Massimo machines, which allows you to: monitor, store and export the productivity data of RM-RoboCut3D Stone.

4.0 Analytics complies with Industry 4.0 standards and allows all Ronchini Massimo CNC machines to communicate with the main business management software, importing the data of: life, production and error generated by the milling robot.
