RM-SkyMill3D for milling aluminum, brass, copper, steel

It is possible to perform two-dimensional milling by cutting and engraving, and three-dimensional milling to create bas-reliefs and complex geometries.

RM-SkyMill3D is equipped with a powerful 3.3 kW at 24,000 rpm electrospindle, which makes it an ideal CNC milling machine for working metal plates and mechanical components in: aluminum, brass, copper and steel. It can also be used in craft contexts where high precision is required on: wood, plastic, resins, etc.

A high precision CNC milling machine

The extremely rigid and heavy structure of RM-SkyMill3D reduces all types of vibrations to a minimum, guaranteeing maximum milling performance.

The “High Speed” movement technology is based on an innovative system of recirculating ball screws, which allows the bridge to move with surprisingly rapid and fluid movements.

High speed electrospindle

RM-SkyMill3D is equipped with a 3.3 kW 24,000 rpm electrospindle for high speed milling. The air cooling system allows perfect heat dissipation and avoids any problem of overheating.

The elastic pliers for the attachment of the cutters allow to accommodate tools up to 20 mm in diameter and guarantee perfect tool balance, considerably reducing any vibration during processing.

Upgraded versions up to 60,000 revolutions per minute and quick release electrospindles for automatic tool change are available.

Ground work surface with double fixing technology

The aluminum worktop is subjected to grinding to ensure maximum flatness of the work surface.

The milling machine is equipped with a double fixing system: one with threaded steel dowels, for mechanical fixing by means of brackets/ vices and a vacuum one with the possibility of sectioning the suction area.

High-precision ball screws

Thanks to the rectified ball screws, you can always get the perfect positioning of the axes. The extremely low operating torque of the ball screws ensures to optimize the consumption power and the engine performance.

Linear motion guide

The slidings of the axes are always fast and fluid thanks to the THK linear motion guides. The precision of the milling process is guaranteed by the very high rigidity of the guides, which they always keep the bridge in an accurate and stable mode.

Yaskawa Sigma 7 motors

RM-SkyMill3D mounts on all its axes the Yaskawa Sigma 7 with Inverter. Those are surely the best motors of the Japanese Company which is also synonymous with reliability and high precision thanks to the impeccable construction quality.

XMC 5.0 HMI for Windows

XMC 5.0 HMI is the operator interface for Windows® environment simple and intuitive that allows you to have under control all the commands necessary to pilot RM-SkyMill3D. Through the software interface it is possible to: import the machinings, analyze the project from the 2D/ 3D preview and start the machining. Through the integrated plug-in Analytics 4.0, all productivity and processing status data are managed and processed in real time.

CAD/ CAM compatible software

RM-SkyMill3D is compatible with the main CAD/ CAM software. the XMC software interface allows you to import and execute the ISO G-code processing files generated with the main CAM software available on the market.

4.0 Analytics: Data analysis software

4.0 Analytics is the data analysis software for the Ronchini Massimo machines, which allows you to: monitor, store and export RM-MaxiMill3D productivity data.

4.0 Analytics complies with Industry 4.0 standards and allows all Ronchini Massimo CNC machines to communicate with the main business management software, importing the data of: life, production and error generated by the CNC pantograph.
