CUT 2D

WHAT IS CUT2D?

Cut2D Pro and Cut2D Desktop provide a powerful but intuitive software solution for cutting parts on a CNC Router.

Both editions include tools for 2D design and editing and efficient 2D tool path calculation.

The software can import 2D designs from other programs but also provides a full set of drawing and editing tools.

The tool path options cover all typical 2D routeing operations such as Profiling, Pocketing, Auto-Inlays and Drilling.

Each tool path includes appropriate options to customise the settings and provide a high level of control for different types of operation.

In addition, all tool paths can be previewed to show just how the part will look when it is actually cut, this allows instant feedback so tool paths can be further optimised.

Cut2D includes the functionality demanded complex work while remaining incredibly easy to use and affordably priced.

The software is used by cabinet makers, wood workers, prop makers, plastic fabricators, hobbyists and in many other applications.

CUT2D PROCESS

Cut2D (Desktop and Pro) have been designed to make calculating high-quality 2D tool paths for routeing, milling and engraving CNC machines, as quick and easy as possible.

Whether it’s high volume production runs, bespoke decorative pieces or simply cutting parts for friends and family on a home built machine, the software includes the tools needed to get the job done easily and quickly.

Projects can be drawn using Cut2D or imported in a number of file formats (EPS, AI, DXF, DWG, PDF, SKP etc.) from a drawing or CAD package such as Corel Draw, AutoCAD, SketchUp etc.

Drawing and layout tools are also included for converting computer images (JPEG, TIF, PNG, BMP, PDF) into machinable vectors, adding borders, scaling, sizing and positioning ready for machining.

The software is very good at handling potential problems in imported files such as duplicate copies of objects, small loops and coincident nodes.

Drawings that may take many hours of editing in other packages can very often be imported, prepared and machined in minutes using Cut2D.
